What is Merit Circle?
Merit Circle started as the ”Axie 420 Scholarship” in July 2021. The point was to provide ”scholarships” to individuals in developing countries to play the play-to-earn (P2E) game Axie Infinity.
The Axie 420 Scholarship covered the relatively high entry costs by lending in-game assets. In turn, they shared profits with the ”scholars”. With the success of the Axie 420 Scholarship, the organization planned to expand beyond Axie Infinity. This is where Merit Circle enters the equation.
